Congratulations to our 2020 graduate, Sierra!

Sierra has been a Girls Inc. girl for a very long time and changes the atmosphere every time she walks into the room with her positive, creative and selfless attitude. She is always checking on the ones around her, and is quick to start telling jokes or dancing her heart out to cheer up someone who is having a bad day. Sierra loves making others smile, and we all love seeing hers!

Sierra’s mother shared with us that Girls Inc. has impacted Sierra’s life so much because it has given her a safe space to develop social skills, create long-lasting friendships, and grow into the skilled and savvy young woman she knows today. Girls Inc. has given her the opportunity to explore different experiences, discover likes and dislikes, and blossom into her true self. Sierra loves to cook, sing, and dance at Girls Inc. and even won our Talent Show for her out-of-this-world dance moves last year!

Sierra graduated high school this year! We know how excited she is for this accomplishment, and we’re excited for her and are so proud of her! When asked what her plans are now, she shared she is hoping to find a part-time job with the skills she learned in the West High School Job Training Program.

Sierra is strong, smart, bold, and inspired to rock her world, thanks to the environment at Girls Inc. that has allowed her to see what these things mean for herself.

Congratulations on graduating, Sierra! We just know you’re going to do great things and touch many lives in this world. We’ll miss you, but you know where to find us!
